National Indigenous Women Forum (NIWF) with the support of UNDP hosted a gathering on 26th April 2024 to share the findings of "A Review of Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality's Policies and Programmes for FY 2023/2024 (2079/2080) from Gender Equality and Social Inclusion and Indigenous Perspectives". The gathering served as a platform not only to unveil the final findings and recommendations encapsulated within the report but also to foster an environment conducive to the exchange of insightful suggestions and perspectives from a diverse array of participants.

The gathering served as a platform not only to unveil the final findings and recommendations encapsulated within the report but also to foster an environment conducive to the exchange of insightful suggestions and perspectives from a diverse array of participants.

CEDAW Policy Brief on Indigenous Women and Girls and Indigenous Women with Disabilities was published by examining CEDAW concluding observations 2011, 2018, and General Recommendations No. 3, 2022 of the Convention of the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) and organizing consultation meetings with groups of Indigenous Women and Girls and Indigenous Women with disabilities from Nepal to measure and suggest the main gaps in the rights of Indigenous Women.

During these consultations, the participants generally opined that the KMGBF are relatively progressive from the lens of Indigenous Peoples’ rights, with some of the 23 targets (such as Targets 1, 3, 5, 9, 19, 21, and 22) explicitly mentioning Indigenous Peoples’ rights. The four goals and other targets envisioned to be achieved by 2030 are also relevant to Indigenous Peoples. NEFIN and NIWF on behalf of the Indigenous Peoples of Nepal re-assert the following key rights concerns pertaining to respective KMGBF targets and hereby strongly recommend to the Nepal government to address them in the new NBSAP of Nepal.

Indigenous Women, Girls, Indigenous Peoples, Highly and Marginalized, Disadvantages and Endangered Indigenous Voices of Nepal in NBSAP to Implement the Kunming- Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework is published by National Indigenous Women Forum (NIWF) and National Federation of Indigenous Nationalities (NEFIN).

Brief Report on Observation of Second General Election 2079 BS was published by National Indigenous Women Forum in 2023 with the support of CFLI/FCIL (Canada Fund for Local Initiatives/ Fonds Canadien d'initiatives locales). The election observation report and especially its recommendations are important to understand lessons learned and best practices to include all communities of Nepal to the election process, including Indigenous Women and Men.

"आदिवासीको अधिकार सम्बन्धी संयुक्त राष्ट्र संघको घोषणापत्र अनुरुप आदिवासी महिलाको अधिकार, विशेषगरी उनीहरूको आत्मनिर्णयको अधिकार स्पष्ट रूपमा पहिचान गर्न संविधान संशोधन गर्ने” भनी महिला विरुद्ध हुने भेद्भाव उन्मूलन सम्बन्धी समितिले नेपाललाई दिएको निष्कर्ष सुझाव तत्काल कार्यान्वयन गर ।
