Under the support of MADRE, NIWF leads the IPM Training for the women of the Raji Indigenous Community Women in Bhajani Rural Municipality, Bhuruwam Kailali. The 5-Day Advanced IPM Training has successfully commenced.

Integrated Pest Management (IM) is a pest management system that uses all suitable techniques in a total management system, to prevent pests from reaching unacceptable levels, or to reduce existing pest populations to acceptable levels. The purpose of IPM is to manage pests with the least possible impact on people, property, and the environment.

1PM reduces production costs through reduced levels of pesticide use. Higher-quality crops (with fewer residues) can command better prices in markets and contribute to increased farmer profitability.
