National Indigenous Women Forum conducted the 24th Yearly General Meeting at Alpha House yesterday. The event was attended by both board members and members of the National Indigenous Women Forum, members of the National Indigenous Women Federation, and well-wishers of the Forum. Chairperson, Suni Lama, and Co-Chair Person reviewed the year’s activities of NIWF along with its progress while presenting all attendees with NIWF’s annual report. NIWF’s official treasurer, Sushila Gole reflected on NIWF’s annual budget and project plans.
There was also an open floor session for the participants to raise issues or any queries based on the information given along with the report provided. Along these topics, NIWF also urged members of the team to work in togetherness on burning issues based on land rights advocacy, climate change, and indigenous cultural togetherness.
