8th April 2023: NIWF, and Forum for Indigenous Girls, organized a brief Distribution of Stationary in Shankharapur for the Tamang Indigenous Girls, and handed over the paintings from the group made during the 8th-9th-11th Celebration of 2023 Women’s Day Program titled, ‘Indigenous Girls Come together for ‘Art, Representation and Gender Equality’.
Designated NIWF/@fig.nepal Team also conducted home visits and interviews with the guardians of the 5 shortlisted candidates of the ‘Indigenous Girls Opportunity Fund’ (IGOF) supported by MADRE. The IGOF will be awarded to the 2 finalized candidates who will be provided with tuition fees, stationary and necessary resources whilst working towards the empowerment and academic progress of the student.
