EARTHQUAKE RELIEF DISTRIBUTION AT CHILIME VDC, RASUWA

On 8 June, 2015; National Indigenous Women Forum (NIWF) in coordination with Rotary International District 7390 andNepal Rotary3292 provided 97 bundles of GI Sheets to the earthquake victims living in Ward No. 4 of Chilime VDC, Rasuwa District.

14 bundles were provided to the community for rebuilding the destroyed school, Gyan Jyoti Primary School. The remaining GI Sheets were distributed equally among 73 affected households within the wards three villages; Tethangche, Brapche and Simbhu.

NIWF’s Project Coordinator Rojina Saba, Rotary International Representative Josh Weinstein and Rotary Nepal Representative Sabitra Kadel and local contact person Dorje Tamang were in the field to distribute relief in coordination with local stakeholders and communities of Chilime VDC, Ward No. 4. We would like to thank NIWF Volunteer Alina Saba for the effort you have put in it to make it possible and we would also like to thank local army personnel and Lt. Lal Bahadur Tamang and Chairperson of Gyan Jyoti Primary School Coordinating Committee Sonam Darpu Tamang for their great assistance and local community members for helping us in this effort.
